Born in San Cristobal de las Casas, Marta is a graduate of the Bachelor of Hotel Management in Mexico City by the Centro de Estudios Superiores de San Angel, CESSA University. Her thesis was "Investment Project for the Opening of Tierra y Cielo Hotel in San Cristobal de Las Casas." Certified with the Senior Management in Strategic Food and Beverages, Center for Culinary Hospitality Business (CEGAHO) and the Diploma in Executive Management Skills, from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
During four years she developed the concept for the opening of "Tierra y Cielo Hotel" in January 2007 and began operations with 12 rooms and a restaurant for 84 diners.
His culinary proposal has defined as "Haute Cuisine Regional and Author of Chiapas", the results in five years of operation certifications attest distinctive "H" (Hygiene) from 2008 to date and making a distinctive "M" (Modernization ) in 2010 and 2011.
At the same time, has achieved certification from the prestigious Quality Club "Tesoros de México", becoming the first certified restaurant in the state, and also has the hallmark "Chiapas Mexico Original".
In order to promote environmental awareness in the organizational culture of companies involved in the Pograma "Cambio" as a company driver since 2011.
Marta received from the President of the Republic, the National Regional Cuisine Award 2008 during the 50th anniversary of the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry and Seasoned Foods CANIRAC.
In Chiapas, various civic organizations, universities and the State Government have also recognized his business career and his effort to make the kitchen a gourmet product Chiapas tourist seeking sustainability and fair trade.
Committed to social welfare and public participation, is a founding member of COPARMEX and the Hotel Association in San Cristobal de Las Casas. and is currently Vice President of San Cristobal CANIRAC and member of the Advisory Council of Chiapas Gourmet.
She has participated in the Madrid Fusion Congress Mexico 2011, at the International Festival of Gastronomy and Wine "Morelia in Boca", edition 2011 and 2012 at the XVII International Festival Riviera Nayarit Puerto Vallarta 2011.
