History

Tierra y Cielo Hotel  opened in January 2007, but our history goes back years ago when Martha Zepeda studying a degree in Hospitality. Lover of good food, hospitality and comfort, he decided that his thesis project was more than an academic work and family involved in the project in San Cristobal to create an exclusive hotel with 12 rooms and a restaurant for 60 people where quality and service would be the hallmark.

Infected by his enthusiasm decided to buy the "house on Avenida Juarez," a neoclassical style property where the family had lived some years and had previously been the home of the grandparents. Charles, the second brother, was responsible for the restoration and renovation of the place even creating an atmosphere of good taste, which combines modern architecture with the traditional flavor of San Cristobal.Mother Martha, who had recently started in the paint, he created a beautiful collection of paintings inspired by the flora of our state now decorates our exclusive rooms.

Lilian, a good friend of Martha and family, he did his thesis on graphic design image of Tierra y Cielo Hotel, the name is inspired by the meaning of a Mayan textile embroidery which symbolizes heaven and earth. The two colors of the logo refers to the landscape of San Cristobal, the red, orange, dark tone, reminiscent of the color of the earth where coletos write our history every day, the blue, the color of the sky, the horizon that frames our daily existence and invites us to transcend.

This, briefly told the story of a family project, the result of dreams, love, effort and seeks to provide visitors to San Cristobal the hospitality they deserve.
